Ami is the brains of the team. Ami tends to get wrapped up in whatever she is doing (especially school) and not pay attention. Deep down, she really cares for her friends and loves to help out, especially when it comes to dreams of the future. In one SuperS episode, Ami sets aside all of her school work (oh my gawd....) and helps out a mechanic whose husband died so the mechanic could finish a car. in the end, the car didn't work but Ami-chan new it was important to never give up. That is why it was a big shock to Mamoru when Ami announced in the S series (The Labyrinth of Water! Ami the targeted!) that she didn't want to be a doctor anymore. Ami thought that is was stupid to strive fo0r one thing, but at the end of the episode she changed her mind and realised it was good to live for one thing, but it was also good that she try other things.
Ami is a Virgo and as a Virgo she is a perfectionist by nature and they always note the smallest details.
